Voorbereiding op twee spannende weken
Het voelt bijna nog als de dag van gisteren dat we terug kwamen van het WK uit Denemarken met een zilveren medaille om onze nek. En nu alweer begint de volgende stap richting onze droom, kwalificeren voor de Olympische Spelen. De komende twee weken zijn waarschijnlijk de belangrijkste uit mijn hele carrière. We zijn er zo dichtbij, maar we moeten er echt nog keihard voor werken. Toch heb ik het gevoel dat niemand mij in de weg kan staan om onze droom te verwezenlijken. Niet kwalificeren is geen optie! 🙂
De afgelopen dagen was ik heerlijk een paar dagen in Nederland. Na de verloren wedstrijd tegen Brasov in de competitie was het echt even moeilijk om hier over heen te komen. We hebben keihard voor een goed resultaat gevochten maar helaas lukte het allemaal net niet. Gelukkig volgt in het handbal alles elkaar razendsnel op, dus snel omschakelen is noodzakelijk. Donderdagochtend heb ik het vliegtuig van Boekarest naar Amsterdam genomen en was ik lekker op tijd weer thuis. Het werd een rustig dagje waarin ik natuurlijk mijn familie allemaal weer heb gezien. Meestal zijn mijn weinige vrije dagen in Nederland altijd super vol gepland en ook deze keer was dat weer het geval. Vrijdagochtend ben ik in de trein gestapt naar Zwolle, omdat ik twee tentamens moest maken. Ik zat een beetje in de stress, want één had ik weliswaar goed geleerd, die andere had ik echt alleen maar het boek doorgelezen. Gelukkig ging het vrij goed en ik had een dag later zelfs al uitslag van één tentamen: een 9.1! Check.
Zaterdag had ik gezellig bezoek van Lisa, mijn beste vriendinnetje. We hebben een dagje bijgekletst, geshopt, lekker uit eten geweest en ’s avonds zijn we naar de sporthal geweest. Erik speelde namelijk weer een keertje mee bij E&O. De wedstrijd was spannend en eindigde uiteindelijk gelijk. Zondagochtend zat ik alweer in de hal, omdat mijn zusje moest spelen. Ik kan haar natuurlijk bijna nooit zien, dus het was perfect dat ik zo even een wedstrijd van haar kon kijken. Het is leuk om die jonge meiden zich zo te zien ontwikkelen. Toen ik bij Oldenburg speelde was ik daar ook coach van een jeugd team. Er is niks mooiers dan talenten te trainen en ze beter te maken. Wie weet is er ooit nog een andere carrière voor me weg gelegd 😉
Nu begint het Nederlands Team dus weer. Ik zal jullie veel op de hoogte houden deze weken via mijn Facebook pagina en mijn blog. Volg me dus daar voor veel spannende informatie! En hopelijk zie ik veel van jullie woensdag in Almere, als we de EK kwalificatie wedstrijd tegen Spanje spelen.
Preparing for two exciting weeks
It feels like it was yesterday that we returned from Denmark with a Silver medal and now it’s already time for the next step to achieve our dream, to qualify for the Olympics. The next two weeks will be the most important weeks of my career. We’re so close to qualify, but still there is a lot of hard work to do. Still I feel that no one can stand in my way to achieve our goal. It’s not an option to lose the qualification 🙂
The last days I was enjoying my time at home in Holland. Since we lost last Wednesday against Brasov I was really mad and not happy at all. We fought for a good result but everything went wrong that day. Luckily in handball there is almost no time to look back, you have to focus again on the things that are coming up. So Thursday morning I took the plane from Bucharest to Amsterdam and I was at home pretty early. I didn’t do so much that day but off course I saw my entire family again. Most of the time my days in Holland are completely planned and this time it was not different than usual. Friday morning I took the train to Zwolle, because I had two exams to make. I was a bit stressing out because I only had time to learn one book. But in the end I read both. Luckily the exams went well and I already know that I passed one of them with a 9.1! Check 🙂
Saturday my best friend Lisa came to visit me. We spent the day chatting, shopping and eating! In the evening we went to the sports hall because Erik had to play a game again after he quit two years ago. It was an exciting game that ended in a tie. Sunday morning I again visited my favorite place, the sports hall, because my sister was playing a match and it was such a long time ago that I was able to see her. It is so nice to see young girls like her developing and getting better every week. When I played in Oldenburg I also trained a few young girls and I can say I really like it to make them better at that age. Who knows what my next career will look like 😉

Pregătindu-mă pentru două săptămâni de foc
Parcă a fost ieri ziua în care ne-am întors din Danemarca cu medalia de argint, iar acum este timpul pentru următorul pas în vederea împlinirii visului nostrum, să ne calificăm la Jocurila Olimpice. Următoarele două săptămâni vor fi cele mai importante din întreaga mea carieră. Suntem aproape de calificare, dar totuși mai este mult de muncă până acolo. Totuși simt că nimeni nu poate să stea în calea noastră care duce spre îndeplinirea visului. Ratarea calificării nu este o opțiune.
În ultimele zile m-am bucurat de timpul petrecut acasă, în Olanda. Rezultatul de miercurea trecută de la Brașov m-a supărat teribil. Am luptat pentru un rezultat bun, dar totul a mers prost în acea zi. Din fericire, în handbal nu este timp pentru remușcări, trebuie să mergi înainte. Joi dimineața am luat avionul din București către Amsterdam și am ajuns acasă destul de devreme. Nu am făcut multe lucruri în acea zi, dar, mi-am revăzut întreaga familie. În general, pentru fiecare zi în Olanda am făcute planuri și de data aceasta a fost la fel. Vineri dimineața am luat trenul către Zwolle, deoarece aveam de susținut două examene. Am fost puțin stresată deoarece nu am avut timp să învăț decât o carte, dar, într-un final, le-am citit pe ambele. Din fericire examenele au mers bine și știu deja rezultatul unuia, 9,1!
Sâmbătă am primit vizita Lisei,cea mai bună prietenă a mea. Am petrecut ziua discutând, făcând cumpărături și luând prânzul împreună. Seara am mers la Sala Sporturilor, deoarece Erik a trebuit să joace un meci după ce s-a retras în urmă cu doi ani. A fost un meci spectaculos, terminându-se egal. Duminică dimineața am vizitat din nou locul meu favorit, sala sporturilor, pentru că sora mea a avut meci și a trecut ceva timp de când nu am mai urmărit-o în acțiune. Este așa frumos să vezi tinere talente evoluând și progresând în fiecare săptămână. Când jucam pentru Oldenborg am antrenat câteva fete tinere și pot spune că îmi place să fac asta. Cine știe cum va arăta următoarea mea carieră!
Acum Aventura la echipa națională începe și, cu siguranță vă voi tine la curent cu tot ceea ce se întâmplă prin intermediul paginii mele de Facebook. Sper, totodată, să ne vedem miercuri în Almere, unde vom juca meciul împotriva Spaniei pentru calificarea la Campionatul European!
