Het project van afgelopen weekend
Ongeveer een week geleden schreef ik al dat ik bezig was met een spannend project, waar ik later meer over zou vertellen. Vandaag is het dan zo ver 😉 Ik ben sinds enige tijd een ‘goodwill’ ambassadrice geworden van een project dat zich inzet om erfgoed in Roemenië/Hongarije te beschermen en te behouden. Ik zal dit een klein beetje toelichten aan de hand van het meest dringende project op dit moment.
In een klein plaatstje genaamd Jelna, niet zo heel ver van Baia Mare, staat een behoorlijk vervallen kerk met unieke frescoes. Het is een reproductie van Giotto’s Navicella mozaïek, waarvan maar drie andere kopieeen zijn gemaakt op de wereld, namelijk in Straatsburg, Florence en Pistoia. Het is dus ontzettend bijzonder dat deze frescoes hun weg naar Jelna hebben gevonden. Het meest belangrijke is echter dat de kerk waarschijnlijk binnen een jaar geruïneerd zal zijn. Als er nu dus niet wordt ingegrepen dan gaan deze unieke frescoes samen met de kerk verloren. Daarom doen wij, samen met mij als goodwill ambassadrice, er dus alles aan om deze kerk onder de aandacht te krijgen!
Waarschijnlijk weet niet iedereen van jullie dat ik wel degelijk een achtergrond heb waarin klassieke vorming een rol heeft gespeeld. Ik heb mijn middelbare schooltijd op het gymnasium doorgebracht waarin ik naast Latijn en Grieks ook Klassieke Culturele Vorming heb gevolgd. De reis naar Rome was hier natuurlijk ook een onderdeel van. Daarom vind ik het ontzettend gaaf om te zien dat waarschijnlijk een schets van Giotto’s Navicella zich vanuit Rome een weg heeft gevonden naar Jelna.

Voor dit project ben ik dus afgelopen weekend in Boedapest gebleven en heb ik een ontzettend gave fotoshoot gehad. Deze foto’s zullen gebruikt worden voor persberichten voor dit project. En natuurlijk mag ik er zelf ook een paar houden. Wat vinden jullie er van? 🙂
Last weekend’s project
About a week ago I wrote you guys that I have been working on some exciting project. Now I’m finally able to share it with you! Since a few months I’m a goodwill ambassador of a project that is protecting some cultural heritage in Romania and Hungary. I will tell you a little bit more about this with the example of a church that needs urgent attention!
In a small town called Jelna, not far from Baia Mare, there is a dilapidated church that contains unique frescoes. It is a reproduction of Giotto’s Navicella mosaic and there are only three other reproductions on the world. In Strassbourg, Florence and Pistoia. So it’s amazing that these fresco found his way to Jelna. But the most important thing is that the church probably will collapse within a year. So if we don’t act right now, this unique frescoes will disappear together with the church. For that reason we, and me as a goodwill ambassador, want to get this under the attention!
Probably most of you don’t know that I have a background with classical education. When I was in high school I studied Latin and Greek and off course we also studied the classical cultural. A trip to Rome was part of this study, so that’s why it’s amazing to see that this fresco from Giotto’s Navicella made his way from Rome to Jelna.

So for this project I stayed in Budapest last weekend to do a photoshoot. It was a great day and the pictures are so nice. These pictures will be used for the press about this project and off course some pictures I can use for myself. What do you think about the pictures? 🙂
Despre ce vă vorbeam weekend-ul trecut
În urmă cu o săptămână vă ziceam că lucrez la un proiect încântător. Acum, pot să vă împărtășesc despre ce este vorba. De câteva luni sunt „Ambasador al bunăvoinței” într-un proiect care are ca scop protejarea patrimoniului cultural din România și Ungaria. O să vă explic despre ce este vorba printr-un exemplu al unei biserici care are nevoie urgentă de atenția noastră.
Într-un sat micuț, numit Jelna, există o biserică într-un stadiu critic care conține fresce unice. Aceste fresce sunt reproduceri după mosaicul „Navicella” lui Giotto și pot să vă spun faptul că există încă trei reproduceri ale acesteia în lume, în Strassbourg, Florența și Pistoia. Este surprinzător faptul că în Jelna se află această frescă, însă, un lucru trist este faptul că această biserică se va prăbuși în maxim un an. Așa că, dacă nu acționăm chiar acum, această frescă unică va dispărea împreună cu biserica. Pentru acest motiv vrem să aducem la cunoștință opiniei publice acest lucru.
Probabil mulți dintre voi nu știu faptul că în trecut am urmat cursuri socio-umane. Când am fost ăn liceu am studiat limba latină și limba greacă, dar și cultura antică. O excursie în Roma a fost parte a acestui curs, și de aceea mi se pare încântător faptul că fresca „Navicella” a lui Giotto a ajuns din Roma în Jelna.

Așadar, pentru acest proiect am rămas în Budapesta weekend-ul trecut pentru a face o ședință foto. A fost o zi minunată, iar pozele sunt superbe. Aceste fotografii vor fi folosite în presă pentru acest proiect, dar, bineînțeles cp pot folosi și eu câteva poze pentru mine. Puteți vizualiza câteva poze în galeria foto de pe blog.
