Derde overwinning op rij!
Gisteravond was het eindelijk zo ver. Na een kleine pauze in de Champions League ging het weer verder. Voor ons een cruciale wedstrijd, want we moesten winnen op zicht te blijven houden op de 1/8 finales. Makkelijk zou het zeker niet worden, want FTC is zeker een hele sterke tegenstander gebleken in de voorgaande wedstrijd. Het was niet alleen een belangrijke wedstrijd voor ons, maar ook zeker voor onze fans. Het was toch een soort van Roemenië – Hongarije en dat zorgde voor een fantastische sfeer!
Ik heb al veel dingen mee gemaakt hier, maar de ambiance gister was echt perfect. Het zat helemaal vol en voor de wedstrijd wordt altijd door de hele hal het Roemeense volkslied gezongen. Voor mij altijd even een mooi momentje om iedereen in de zaal te bekijken en die liefde voor de sport te zien. Zowel op het veld als buiten het veld. Dit soort dingen zal ik niet snel vergeten in mijn leven. De wedstrijd was uiteindelijk net zo perfect als de sfeer. Alles lukte gister en we speelden een goede wedstrijd wat resulteerde in een 32-24 overwinning. Hierdoor hebben we onze derde wedstrijd op rij in de Champions League gewonnen. Volgende week is dan de uitwedstrijd tegen Fleury, in Lorient en winnen we die, dan komen de 1/8 finales zeker dichtbij!
Third victory in a row!
Yesterday evening it was finally time for the Champions League again. After a small break we finally continued the main round. It was a crucial match for us because, in order to keep sight at the 1/8 final, we needed to win. We knew it was definitely not going to be easy, since FTC showed to be a very strong opponent in the last few matches. This game was not only important for us as a team, but also for our fans. It was a kind of Romania – Hungary and that resulted in a fantastic atmosphere!
I’ve experienced a lot of things in handball already but yesterday was simply perfect. The hall was completely full and before the game everyone sang the national anthem of Romania. For me this is always a beautiful moment to watch and enjoy the entire audience, to see everyone’s love for the game! In the end the game was as perfect as the atmosphere. Everything worked out really well and the scoreboard showed 32-24 after 60 minutes. This brought us the third victory in the Champions League in a row. Next week the important game in Lorient, against Fleury will take place and if we will win this game, we’ll be again one step closer to the 1/8 final!
A treia victorie la rând!
Aseară am jucat din nou în EHF Champions League. După o mică pauză, ne-am continuat aventura în grupele principale. A fost un meci crucial pentru noi, deoarece aveam nevoie de victorie pentru a putea spera la optimile competiției. Știam că nu va fi deloc ușor, deoarece FTC s-au dovedit a fi adversari puternici în ultimele meciuri. Importanța acestui meci nu a fost doar pentru noi, ca și echipă, ci și pentru fanii noștri. A fost o confruntare între Romania și Ungaria, ceea ce a rezultat o atmosferă fantastică în tribune. Am trăit multe experiențe în handbal, dar ceea ce s-a întâmplat aseară a fost perfect. Sala a fost plină până la refuz și înainte de meci fiecare suporter cânta din toți rărunchii Imnul Național al României. Pentru mine este întotdeauna un moment frumos să văd astfel de momente, dragostea fiecărui suporter pentru acest joc. În final, jocul s-a ridicat la nivelul atmosferei din sală. Totul a mers perfect, iar la final, pe tabelă scorul a fost 32-24 după 60 de minute de joc. Cu această victorie am ajuns la trei victorii consecutive în Champions League. Săptămâna viitoare avem meci la Lorient, în compania celor de la Fleury. Dacă vom câștiga vom fi cu încă un pas mai aproape de optimi!
