Wij gaan naar Rio toe!!
Zoals de meesten van jullie waarschijnlijk wel hebben mee gekregen, was ons weekend ontzettend succesvol. We hebben ons gewoon geplaatst voor de Olympische Spelen in Rio. Ik kan het eigenlijk nog steeds niet geloven. Wat er de afgelopen dagen allemaal is gebeurd is eigenlijk te veel om te beschrijven, maar ik zal proberen kort te vertellen wat we allemaal gedaan hebben 🙂
Ik hoop dat natuurlijk iedereen de wedstrijden via Ziggo Sport of een andere zender heeft kunnen kijken, want de sfeer in Metz was echt geweldig. Alle wedstrijden winnen van een Olympisch kwalificatie toernooi, in ook nog eens een ander land, is alleen mogelijk als je zulke geweldige fans hebt! Het was echt genieten om onze vreugde te delen met zoveel mensen op de tribune. Zaterdagavond hebben we eigenlijk al een klein feestje gevierd doordat we even lekker met het hele team uit eten zijn geweest. Zondag ben ik na de wedstrijd tegen Tunesië met de auto terug naar Nederland gereden en gisteren was eigenlijk een hele dag vol met interviews. Ik ben eerst geïnterviewd voor het Groningse boek ‘Goud ja’, wat waarschijnlijk aan het eind van dit jaar of begin volgend jaar uit komt. Zij volgen allerlei succesvolle Groningse sporters, met kans op een medaille natuurlijk 😉 Daarna heb ik opnames gemaakt voor Clubhuis 16 van KPN, wat nu te zien is en daarna zijn we met de meeste meiden van het team naar RTL Late Night geweest. Handbal wordt nu dus echt populair!
Vanochtend ben ik dan weer terug gevlogen naar Baia Mare. Weer even een hele omschakeling na dik twee weken bij het Nederlands Team. Ik ga dus ook zo lekker mijn bed in. Niet alleen omdat ik echt even moet bijkomen van het weekend, maar ook omdat we zonder gas zitten in ons huis. Koud dus 😉 Ik heb ook de komende weken nog weer veel leuke dingen om te beleven, onder andere interviews, leuke projecten maar natuurlijk ook de kwartfinale van de Champions League. Blijf me dus volgen om van alles op de hoogte te zijn.
We’re going to Rio!!
Like most of you probably know, my weekend was pretty successful. We qualified for the Olympic Games in Rio, unbelievable! It’s hard to describe this feeling after four years of such hard work. And then to win all the games like that, that’s pretty amazing. I can’t describe everything that I’ve experienced in the last week, but I will try to tell you most of it in this short blog 🙂
I hope everyone saw the matches on Ziggo Sport or on another channel, because the atmosphere in Metz was incredible. To win all the matches of a qualification tournament, and in another country, is only possible with so much support from our fans. It was the best feeling to share our excitement together with the spectators from Holland. On Saturday we had our first small party to celebrate a little bit. We went for a nice dinner together with all of the team. On Sunday, after the last game with Tunesia, I drove back home to Holland and yesterday my day was planned with only interviews. First I had an interview with two guys who are making a book about athletes from Groningen, my hometown, who are having a chance for a medal on the Olympics 😉 After that I was part of a tv show called Clubhuis 16, which you can see on KPN. In the evening we went with almost the entire team to the talkshow RTL Late Night. Handball is becoming popular now in Holland!
This morning I flew back to Baia Mare. After two weeks together with the national team it’s totally different to focus now again on the club. For that I will go to bed early today, I can use some extra sleep after the weekend. But also because we’re without gas in our apartment, so it’s cold!! 😉
In the next weeks I’ve planned some exciting things, interviews and new projects for example, but also the quarter final of the Champions League. So keep following me to see all the updates.
Mergem la Rio!
Cum probabil multi dintre voi stiu, weekend-ul meu a fost unul de succes. Ne-am calificat la Jocurile Olimpice de la Rio! De necrezut! Este greu sa descriu acest sentiment dupa cativa ani de munca. Si apoi, sa castigi toate meciurile este incantator. Nu pot sa descriu chiar tot ce am trait saptamana trecuta, dar o sa incerc sa va zic cat de multe in aceste randuri.
Sper ca toti ati vazut meciurile pe Ziggo Sport sau orice alt canal, pentru ca atmosfera in metz a fost incredibila. Sa castigi toate meciurile dintr-un turneu de calificare, si si intr-o tara straina, este posibil doar cu suportul fanilor. Este cel mai frumos sentiment sa imparti bucuria victoriilor cu spectatorii veniti din Olanda. Sambata am avut prima mica petrecere. Am mers la o cina impreuna cu toata echipa. Duminica, dupa meciul cu Tnisia, m-am intors in Olanda si ieri ziua mea a fost plina de interviuri. Intai am avut un interviu cu doi oameni care lucreaza la o carte despre sportivi din Groningen, orasul meu natal, care au sansa pentru o medalie la J.O. Apoi, am luat parte la un show de televiziune numit Clubhui16, care poate fi urmarit pe KPN. Seara, am mers aproapte toata echipa la un talkshow, RTL Late Night. Handbalul devine foarte popular in Olanda.
In aceasta dimineata am revenit la Baia mare. Dupa doua saptamani in compania echipei nationale este total diferit sa te focusezi din nou asupra clubului. Pentru asta voi merge la somn devreme in seara asta. Chiar am nevoie de putin mai mult somn dupa acest weekend. Dar, din cauza faptului ca nu mai suntem racordati la gaz, in apartament e foarte frig. In urmatoarele saptamani am planificat niste lucruri foarte interesante, precum interviuri si proiecte noi, dar si un meci din Sferturile de Finala ale EHF Champions League.
